DHAKA : The Russian House in Dhaka hosted a special programme dedicated to Russian Flag Day, bringing together journalists, Russian Government Scholarship winners, students of Russian language courses and other guests, a press release said.
The programme opened with the Russian national anthem, followed by a speech and presentation dedicated to the history of the Russian flag, exploring the development and significance of one of Russia’s most important national symbols.
Students of the Russian Language Course took an active part in the programme, presenting a series of Russian-language poems dedicated to the national flag, including «Flag of Russia», «Russian Flag» and «About the Colour of the Flag».
The cultural programme also featured performances of several well-known Russian songs, including «Shirokaya strana maya radnaya», «Katyusha», «Kalinka» and «Matushka», performed by the students and participants of the event.
