The Nationalist ICT Forum (NICTF) has reconstituted its
committee at an emergency general meeting held at the auditorium of Club Notre
Dame Bangladesh Limited in Banani, Dhaka, on Monday (June 29), a press release
said.
The meeting discussed in detail the overall activities of
the organization, strengthening the organizational structure and future work
plans. As per the decision of the meeting, the constitution of the Nationalist
ICT Forum was officially approved unanimously by the members. Through this
step, the activities of the organization have been given a more disciplined,
dynamic and institutionalized form.
After the approval of the constitution, the current
committee of the organization was restructured. In this, the responsibilities
of the old responsible members have been redistributed and some new qualified
and active members have been included to bring new momentum to the activities.
In the restructured committee, Professor Dr. Shah J. Mia was elected as the
acting president, Rowshan Kamal James as the general secretary, Riyad Hasnain
as the joint general secretary and Engineer Mohammad Jewel as the organizing
secretary.
A total of 101 members were announced at the meeting. As a
result, the organizational structure of the organization will be expanded and
strengthened, and the activities of the forum with professionals, entrepreneurs
and technologists in the ICT sector will be conducted more effectively.
The meeting also decided to open the membership
registration form for general membership of the Nationalist ICT Forum. Through
this, interested professionals, entrepreneurs, technologists and related
individuals in the country’s ICT sector will have the opportunity to join as
members.
The speakers said that the Nationalist ICT Forum is
committed to the development of the country’s information technology sector,
protecting the interests of professionals, actively participating in
policy-making discussions, and building a technology-based Bangladesh. At the
end of the meeting, a call was made to implement future programs while maintaining
the unity, discipline, and dynamism of the organization.
