June 20, 2026, the 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) was held. The meeting, organized at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, was presided over by BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan, a press release said.
At the beginning of the meeting, BGMEA’s 1st Vice President Selim Rahman delivered the welcome speech.
The meeting was attended by the current Vice Presidents and Directors of the BGMEA Board of Directors, former Presidents, former Vice Presidents and Directors, Zainul Abedin Faruk MP, Chairmen and members of various standing committees and general members of the organization.
The audited accounts of the fiscal year 2024-2025 were approved in the meeting and the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 was presented and approved. And the auditor for the fiscal year 2025-26 was appointed.
In his speech, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan detailed the current situation of the garment industry, various initiatives taken by his board in the last 1 year and future action plans. On the other hand, BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Mizanur Rahman presented the organization’s financial report for the fiscal year 2024-2025 and the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26.
The meeting pledged to make united efforts to address the challenges of the industry.
Finally, a cake was presented by Silver Club Limited, Dhaka to congratulate the current board of directors on the successful completion of 1 year. Later, the meeting was declared successful by cutting the cake in the presence of BGMEA leaders.
