Is the toothpaste we brush our teeth with every morning protecting our health or are we unknowingly poisoning our bodies?
A recent study conducted by ESDO (Environment and Social Development Organization) at Jahangirnagar University’s research laboratory has revealed a horrifying picture! Out of the 34 types of toothpaste sold in the country’s market, 26 were found to contain harmful ‘microplastics’.
These fine particles of plastic can enter the body through the mouth and stomach and cause various complex diseases in the long term. The most worrying thing is that the presence of these toxic elements has also been found in several popular toothpastes made for children!
