Bangladeshi-American medical researcher and naturopathic physician Professor Dr. Mojibul Haque has joined the Department of Health Sciences (Integrative Medicine) at Washington University of Science and Technology (WUST), USA, as a Professor. He recently assumed the position and was formally welcomed by the university authorities at a reception held in his honor, a press release said.
Born in Feni, Bangladesh, Dr. Haque completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka before pursuing higher education in the United States. He earned a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and completed postdoctoral research in Drug Discovery at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Since 2009, Dr. Haque has been actively involved in teaching and research at several higher education institutions in the United States. In addition to his academic responsibilities at WUST, he currently serves as a Clinical Research Manager at a biomedical research organization and as a consultant in Integrative Medicine.
Speaking about his new role, Dr. Haque said he views the appointment as an opportunity to contribute more broadly to education, medical research, and human well-being.
