RAB-7 has arrested a man on charges of cultivating
marijuana in a tub on the tin roof of a house in Bayezid Bostami area of Chattogram
city. At that time, 12 marijuana plants were seized from him.
RAB-7 Chattogram said that based on a secret tip-off, a
raid was conducted in the West Shajinagar area of Bayezid Bostami police
station at around 11 pm on Monday (July 27). A man named Lokman Hossain (44)
was arrested in the raid.
RAB claimed that Lokman was cultivating marijuana plants
in two plastic tubs on the tin roof of his house. A total of 12 marijuana
plants, six in each tub, were recovered and seized.
Arrested Lokman Hossain’s house is in Hyderabad area of
Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria district.
RAB said the arrested person and the seized cannabis
plants have been handed over to Bayezid Bostami Police Station for further
legal action.
