The alumni of the Department of Business Administration at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) are set to host a reunion from January 14 to 16, 2027. The three-day event will be organised by the Alumni Association of Business Administration, SUST (AABA SUST), with the overall support of the School of Business Administration and Management, and will take place on the SUST campus, a press release said.
The decision to organise the reunion was recently taken at a meeting of the Executive Committee (EC) of the alumni association. Prior to this, a courtesy meeting was held between the association’s leaders and the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Khairul Islam, who provided necessary guidance regarding the arrangement. Following discussions with all relevant stakeholders, the EC formally finalised the decision.
In a joint statement, AABA SUST President Professor Dr. Md. Ashraful Ferdous Chowdhury and General Secretary Arshadul Haque said that the first day of the program will feature a networking session involving current students, alumni, and corporate organisations. The next two days will feature grand arrangements, including alumni reminiscence sessions, sports activities, and diverse cultural programs.
The statement further added that the reunion will facilitate the creation of a comprehensive alumni database and strengthen connections between current and former students. It will also provide alumni with an opportunity to revisit the campus and relive their cherished memories. The organisers expressed hope that students from the very first batch to the most recent batch will participate enthusiastically. They also sought cooperation from all stakeholders, including the university administration, to ensure the event’s success.
Among others present at the EC meeting were Vice President Nahian Khan, Joint Secretaries Ratan Adhikari Ratul and Md. Azizul Islam, Cultural Secretary, Maheru Helal, Sports Secretary, Sohrab Rana, and Executive Member AQM Abdullah Al Mansur.
