UCB opens 236th branch in Ashulia

United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has expanded its footprint with the inauguration of its 236th branch in Ashulia, strengthening access to modern banking services in one of the country’s key industrial and commercial hubs. The new branch aims to serve local customers, entrepreneurs and businesses with a comprehensive range of convenient, secure and technology-driven banking solutions, a press release said.
The branch formally commenced operations through an inauguration ceremony held on Wednesday (03 June) at Atik Bepari Mansion, Ashulia Bus Stand, Ashulia, Dhaka. The event was attended by UCB’s Managing Director and CEO, senior bank officials, local business leaders and other distinguished guests. Also present at the event were Professor Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University, and Md. Solaiman Ahmed, Deputy General Manager (DGM) of Dhaka Palli Bidyut Samity-1.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, Managing Director and CEO of UCB, said, “We are delighted to establish UCB’s new branch in Ashulia, one of the country’s most important industrial and economic hubs. Through this branch, we aim to deliver modern, customer-centric banking solutions to entrepreneurs, business owners, working professionals and the wider community, helping meet their evolving financial needs.”
