The “Skill Up: Empowering Youth for Digital Employment (Season 2)” project has concluded, successfully ensuring employment for 100 young individuals following their training. Organized by Junior Chamber International (JCI) Manikganj, the project aimed to enhance youth skills and create digital employment opportunities. Skytech Solutions, a leading international BPO service provider in Bangladesh, served as the employment partner for this initiative, which had previously been recognized as the “Most Impactful Project” at the JCI Bangladesh National Convention (NATCON) in 2025, a press release said.
Speaking about the project’s activities, R. K. Jan, GLC of JCI Manikganj and the project’s chairperson, said, “For the second consecutive year, we have worked on this project to facilitate skill development and employment for the youth. Through Skytech Solutions, we provided training in the BPO sector and secured jobs for 100 young people. By opening doors to new skills, opportunities, and possibilities for these 100 youths, we have moved another step closer to achieving our goal.”
He added, “Our primary objective is to prepare the country’s youth for the digital economy. Through this initiative, young people were taught not only theoretical knowledge but also practical strategies for creating and optimizing professional profiles on global platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer.com. We are working towards the goal of enabling our youth to secure employment on the global stage by mastering skills such as communicating effectively with international clients, utilizing AI tools efficiently in modern workplaces, and applying office suite software in real-world scenarios.”
R. K. Zan stated that JCI Manikganj is working towards achieving various Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—ranging from providing safe drinking water, alternative fuel or electricity, and improving educational infrastructure to enhancing the living standards of the underprivileged—in addition to focusing on youth training and employment. “I am proud to be the GLC of this chapter, the project chairman, and, above all, a member of JCI Bangladesh. I must thank my Local President (LP), Sabrina, for placing her trust in me as the project chairman. This achievement was made possible through the collective cooperation of everyone involved, including Musnad E. Ahmed (Managing Director of Skytech), the project team, trainers, and participants; I am grateful to them all.”
Sabrina Parvin Khan, the 2026 Local President of JCI Manikganj, remarked, “JCI Manikganj has consistently worked towards achieving SDG targets, and the ‘Skill-Up’ project is a part of that effort. The initiatives here—focusing on youth skill development and employment—directly align with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). Our chapter has been implementing this project for the past two years to meet these goals, and I am optimistic that this momentum will continue in the future.”
Abu Sufian Nilav, the chapter’s Immediate Past President, said, “When I assumed the role of President last year, one of my top priorities was to equip the country’s youth with skills while ensuring their employment. That vision led to the launch of this project, which we have now executed for the second time. I hope that, in addition to skilled workers, this initiative will produce the country’s top entrepreneurs of the future.”
Musnad E. Ahmed, Managing Director of Skytech Solutions—the project’s employment partner—commented, “My experience working with JCI Manikganj has been excellent.” In 2025, I discussed with Nilav-bhai, the Local President of JCI Manikganj, the idea of not only enhancing the skills of the country’s energetic and educated youth through training but also creating employment opportunities for them. Stemming from this vision, we formed a partnership, and over the past year and a half, we have trained approximately 200 fresh graduates. Following the training, arrangements were made for their employment at Skytech and other organizations across the country. I extend my gratitude to JCI Manikganj and its current and future presidents for this noble initiative. We intend to continue this collaboration in the days ahead, contributing significantly to Bangladesh’s economy by equipping the younger generation with essential skills.
Serving as the Executive Vice President of JCI Manikganj for 2026—my second term in this role—I am delighted to be part of the second year of the “Skill Up: Empowering Youth for Digital Employment” project. Through this initiative, 100 young men and women have received training to develop digital skills and have been successfully connected with employment opportunities. Such far-reaching and meaningful initiatives for the youth will certainly continue in the future.
