Meghna Ceramic Industries Limited (MCIL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI) formally launched sanitaryware under the brand name ‘Fresh’, a press release said.
With the tagline “Flawlessly Fresh,” Fresh Sanitaryware offers quality products featuring superior whiteness for white and clean appearance, enhanced gloss for smooth finish and higher glaze hardness for greater durability.
Since its launch in 2021, Fresh Ceramics has achieved five years of success and established itself as a leading brand in Bangladesh’s ceramics sector. Building on this success and growing customer demand, the company has now launched Fresh Sanitaryware.
Earlier, the official unveiling of Fresh Sanitaryware was held at MCIL’s factory in Ashariachar, Narayanganj. MGI Chairman and Managing Director Mostafa Kamal formally unveiled the product line along with its Vice Chairman Beauty Akter, Directors Tahmina Mostafa, Tanjima Mostafa and Tanveer Mostafa, and MCIL COO AKM Ziaul Islam.
Commenting on the market entry, MGI Chairman and Managing Director Mostafa Kamal said, “With years of experience and a strong reputation in the construction materials sector, we have earned our customers’ trust through our ceramic products. Building on this experience and trust, we have now introduced Fresh Sanitaryware following the success of Fresh Ceramics. By placing the highest importance on quality, uninterrupted supply and customer trust, we aim to establish Fresh Sanitaryware as a reliable brand in the sector.”
MCIL has invested around Tk 300 crore in the sanitaryware business. The factory has the capacity to produce around 60,000 pieces per month, creating employment opportunities for more than 600 people.
Fresh Sanitaryware is initially entering the market with six pedestal basins, two one-piece and three two-piece water commodes and three squatting pans. The products use quality glaze materials, high-quality finishing and modern production technology. Initially available in white, the range will be expanded with more colours and designs based on customer demand.
Currently, 100 percent imported raw materials are used, sourced from Thailand, Malaysia, Egypt, India, Germany and China. The company plans to add products such as table-top basins and urinals in the future.
Director Tanjima Mostafa said, “The construction materials market is evolving quickly as customers seek greater choice and reliability. To address this, we have prioritised the sanitaryware sector. Launching Fresh Sanitaryware strengthens our position by emphasising quality ceramic products, design, and performance. Our goal is to offer more solutions for modern homes and buildings.”
Mentionable, beyond ceramics, MGI’s building materials portfolio includes cement, steel, bricks and blocks, and construction stone.
