The current Ambassador of the Netherlands to Bangladesh, Joris van Bommel, visited the field activities of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) WASH Sector in Bakerganj Upazila of Barishal district on Wednesday, a press release said.

Ambassador Joris van Bommel visited the ongoing activities of the project, such as clean water supply, health and hygiene awareness activities, and spoke directly to the project beneficiary community and praised the activities.

During the Ambassador’s visit, the Embassy’s First Secretary-Water and Climate Inge Klaasen, founder of NGO Max Foundation Joke Le Poole, and Max Foundation’s Country Director for Bangladesh, Tariqul Islam, were present.

Dhaka Ahsania Mission Executive Director KM Zahiduzzaman, WASH Sector Program Coordinator Mohammad Shahin, Project Coordinator Pradip Kumar Mondal and other officials were present at that time. It is worth noting that Dhaka Ahsania Mission has been conducting the said activities in Patuakhali, Barguna and Barishal districts of southern Bangladesh in partnership with the Netherlands NGO Max Foundation since 2011.
