July Mass Uprising Day 2026, Rabat, Morocco

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Rabat solemnly observed July Mass Uprising Day 2026 on 5 August 2026 with due respect. The programme commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a one-minute silence observed in memory of the martyrs, a press releasee said.
Her Excellency Sadia Faizunnesa, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Morocco, read out the messages of the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister, while Rajib Tripura, Counsellor, read out the messages of the Hon’ble Foreign Minister and the Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs issued on the occasion of July Mass Uprising Day.
Two special documentaries on the July 2024 Mass Uprising, produced by the Government of Bangladesh were screened. The programme concluded with special prayers for the eternal peace of the souls of the martyrs of the July Mass Uprising of 2024.
In her address, Her Excellency Sadia Faizunnesa, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Morocco, paid profound tribute to the martyrs of the July Mass Uprising, who sacrificed their lives during the movement against the autocratic government in July–August 2024. She recalled the invaluable contributions of the youth who led the movement and called upon everyone to uphold the spirit of the July Mass Uprising and remain committed to building a just, inclusive, and non-discriminatory society.
Guided by the principle of “Bangladesh First” and under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the Government is working to realize the aspirations of the Liberation War of 1971 and the spirit of the July Mass Uprising of 2024, she added.
Bangladeshi expatriates and foreign nationals residing in Morocco, Moroccan citizens, as well as the officials and staff of the Embassy, participated in the programme.
