IPDC Finance PLC, the country’s first private financial institution, reported a 37.6% year-on-year (YoY) growth in net profit after tax, reaching BDT 207 million in the first half of 2026. The performance was driven by higher net interest income, investment earnings and prudent cost management, a press release said.

Despite continued domestic and global economic challenges, IPDC maintained steady business momentum through disciplined execution, robust governance and sound risk management. As of 30 June 2026, the company’s loan portfolio stood at BDT 74,174 million, while total deposits grew 7.9% from December 2025 to BDT 67,166 million, reflecting continued customer confidence and a stable funding base. 60% of our operating income has come from our core financing activities which reflects our commitments toward a sustainable growth. Additionally, the investment portfolio expanded to BDT 15,341 million, supported by growth in government securities and other investments.

The financial results were approved at a meeting of the Board of Directors held on 28 August 2026.

Key Highlights (H1 2026): Gross interest income rose 5.3% YoY to BDT 4,889 million, driven by continued asset growth and disciplined lending. Consequently, net interest income grew 22.5% YoY to BDT 1,168 million. During the second quarter of 2026, net interest income stood at BDT 587 million, marking a 22.6% increase over the same period of the previous year.

Investment income climbed by 39.2% YoY to BDT 786 million, supported by higher returns from government securities and the expansion of the company’s treasury portfolio. 

Consequently, total operating income rose 28.9% YoY to BDT 2,064 million. Operating income for the second quarter reached BDT 1,122 million, up by 33.0% from the corresponding quarter of 2025.

Net Operating Cash Flow per Share improved to BDT 12.02 in H1 2026 from BDT 8.12 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Earnings per share (EPS) increased to BDT 0.48 in H1 2026 from BDT 0.35 in the corresponding period of 2025. 

Net Asset Value (NAV) per share stood at BDT 17.01 as of 30 June 2026, compared with BDT 17.00 at the end of December 2025.
