Thousands of tourists from different parts of the country flock to various tourist spots in the district, including Patenga Beach, Faiz Lake, Chandranath Hills in Sitakunda, Guliahali Beach, and Banshkhali, attracted by the sea, mountains, waterfalls, and natural beauty. Bangladesh Tourist Police is playing an important role in ensuring safe and smooth travel for tourists.
Tourist Police is active not only in maintaining law and
order, but also in providing information services to tourists, emergency
assistance, assistance in finding lost children or relatives, ensuring the
safety of women and foreign tourists, and taking prompt action in cases of
fraud or harassment. Security measures are also strengthened when the pressure
of tourists increases, especially during Eid, Puja, New Year, and long
government holidays.
