SP Gautam's initiative boosts public trust in Chapainawabganj police

Local residents are claiming that positive changes are emerging in the law and order situation and police services in the district after the new Superintendent of Police Gautam Kumar Biswas took charge in Chapainawabganj. According to them, the common people are now getting the necessary police services more easily and without harassment as the influence of brokers in the police stations has decreased.
Locals complain that in the past, many people were harassed by brokers while filing general diaries (GDs), complaints, or lawsuits.
However, the situation has changed now. Now, service recipients can go to the police station and directly contact the police officers on duty to get the necessary legal assistance, and they do not have to spend any additional money for this, they said.
A local resident said, "Earlier, going to the police station used to feel uncomfortable and there was a fear of harassment in various ways. A few days ago, I didn't have to pay any money to file a GD. The police have been very cooperative."
Meanwhile, locals believe that the law and order situation has also improved due to regular police operations and increased supervision to control drugs, theft, robbery, and other crimes in various parts of the district.
Civil society representatives say that if the police administration continues to be transparent, accountable, and people-friendly, the trust and relationship between the police and the people will be strengthened. They hope that if this trend continues, Chapainawabganj will become a safer and more peaceful district.
