Emirates has achieved another industry first by becoming the first airline cargo carrier to deploy the Boeing 777-300ERSF passenger-to-freighter converted aircraft. The aircraft will enter commercial service with its inaugural flight from Hong Kong to Dubai, carrying more than 100 tonnes of cargo, a press release said.

The converted Boeing 777-300ERSF offers a payload capacity of 100 tonnes and 811 cubic metres of cargo volumeÍ25% more cargo space than the production Boeing 777-F. With 47 pallet positions, it can accommodate 10 additional pallets, making it ideally suited for high-volume shipments such as e-commerce cargo, which now accounts for around 20% of global air freight and continues to grow.

With its fleet of Boeing 777-F freighters, Emirates SkyCargo has already expanded its dedicated freighter network from just over 40 destinations in February to 62 destinations today.

The Boeing 777-300ERSF is the sixth freighter to join the Emirates SkyCargo fleet since March 2026, following five new Boeing 777-F aircraft. Under its fleet expansion plan, Emirates SkyCargo will add five more Boeing 777-Fs and another converted Boeing 777-300ERSF by the end of 2026, followed by three additional converted 777-300ERSFs in 2027.
