
DHAKA : Phoenix Summit Dhaka 2026, Bangladesh’s leading
cyber security convergence platform, begins today (Tuesday) with a series of
deep-dive technical workshops. Running from 23-25 June, these specialized
sessions mark the official start of the five-day summit aimed at bolstering
national cyber security capabilities and digital resilience. The event is
organized by The TeamPhoenix Group (TTPG) and powered by BRAC Bank PLC, a press
release said.
Held under the theme ‘Closing the Cyber Gap in Emerging
Economies,’ the summit brings together government stakeholders, industry
leaders, academic institutions, cybersecurity professionals, researchers,
students, technology enthusiasts and international partners. While the main
conference will take place on 26–27 June, the opening three days will focus on
hands-on learning, practical skill development, and knowledge transfer through
specialized workshop sessions. Hosted daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the
Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB), these expert-led sessions ensuring an
immersive environment to equip participants with real-world defensive
capabilities.
A key highlight of this initial phase is an exclusive
workshop titled ‘Practical Cyber Investigation,’ organized in collaboration
with the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA). The session will be led by Adli
Wahid, Senior Internet Security Specialist at APNIC, Australia, with
participation strictly restricted to invited representatives from law
enforcement agencies and government Critical Information Infrastructure (CII)
organizations.
Other featured workshops include DevSecOps for
Practitioners, led by Arif Hossen, CEO of MetaHeed, and Jasim Alam, Principal
Platform Engineer at Field Nation, where participants will explore how to
integrate security practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Independent Security Researcher Imran Huda will conduct Master Application
Security: Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing, offering practical
insights into identifying and mitigating application vulnerabilities.
Meanwhile, cyber security specialists MD Samiul Islam and Mahfuj Ahmed Tareq
from Shorborno Holdings Ltd. will lead Ransomware Mechanics: A Deep Dive into
Defensive Engineering for the Ransomware Lifecycle, focusing on ransomware
threats, detection techniques, and effective defense strategies.

Following the workshops, the summit will continue with a
two-day conference at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre
(BCFCC). Participants will have access to hands-on training sessions, team
exercises,fellowship programs, expert panel discussions, technology
exhibitions, and demonstrations covering cyber defense, offensive security, and
emerging technology trends.
