From creating videos with limited resources to working in music videos and dramas and establishing her own business, Sraboni Samba is turning a childhood ambition into a growing entrepreneurial journey.
For Hasna Akter Sraboni, better known online as Sraboni Samba, the journey from aspiring content creator to entrepreneur has been shaped by determination, experimentation and a willingness to take opportunities as they came.
Born and raised in Chatkhil, Noakhali, Sraboni says her fascination with the camera began in childhood. She dreamed of standing in front of an audience, expressing herself and eventually building a career around that passion. At the time, however, she had limited access to the equipment and opportunities needed to pursue that ambition.
A turning point came during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, when Sraboni decided to begin creating videos. She started with simple content and gradually learned how to communicate with an online audience. One of her early videos unexpectedly went viral, giving her wider visibility and encouraging her to take content creation more seriously.
“That moment became a turning point in my life. I began receiving love and appreciation from people, and my family also stood beside me. That was when I felt that perhaps this was the path I should follow,” Sraboni says.
At the age of 21, she formally began her journey in the media industry. Starting with blogging and TikTok, she later moved into music videos and dramas. One of her early projects was the music video Tumi Amar Hoia Thaiko. She subsequently gained attention through Lojjaboti Kemne Bojhaye Koto Bhalobashi, which has received more than two million views.
Since then, Sraboni has worked in more than seven music videos and over four dramas, while continuing to develop her presence as a digital creator and influencer.
But her ambitions have gradually moved beyond content creation.
Alongside her work in entertainment, Sraboni has entered the business world as the founder of Samba Elite Beauty Lounge. The venture represents a new stage in her career, allowing her to explore entrepreneurship while continuing her work in the media industry.
For Sraboni, the beauty lounge is more than a business venture. It represents the transformation of an idea into something tangible—an extension of the ambition that began with her desire to stand in front of a camera.
“Today, I am a content creator, influencer and entrepreneur. As the founder of Samba Elite Beauty Lounge, I have been able to turn one of my dreams into reality,” she says.
Her journey also demonstrates how social media can create opportunities that extend beyond content production. For many young creators, building an audience can become a starting point for exploring entertainment, branding and entrepreneurship. Sraboni’s career reflects that increasingly interconnected path.
Her personal and professional life have also developed alongside her digital journey. Through social media, she met her life partner, who is also a content creator. She says their relationship is built on mutual respect and support, with both encouraging each other as they pursue their respective careers.
Despite the progress she has made, Sraboni views her career as a work in progress. She wants to continue taking on meaningful projects in the entertainment industry while developing her business further.
“If I get the opportunity to work on good projects, I hope to do much more in the future,” she says.
She also credits her family and audience for playing an important role in her journey. According to Sraboni, the encouragement she received from viewers helped her remain committed during the early stages of her career.
“I believe this achievement is not mine alone. It is the result of your love, my hard work and the blessings of Allah,” she says.
From a young girl in Chatkhil with a dream of appearing in front of a camera to a content creator, performer and entrepreneur, Sraboni Samba’s journey reflects the expanding possibilities available to digital creators in Bangladesh.
Her story is not simply about becoming popular online. It is about using that initial platform to explore new directions, take professional risks and build something beyond personal visibility.
