Abu Jafar Majumder has taken charge as the new Assistant
Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate (AC Land) of Anwara Upazila of Chattogram.
He formally assumed charge on Monday.
Abu Jafar Majumder, an officer of the 40th BCS
administration cadre, previously served as Assistant Commissioner (Land) in
Maheshkhali Upazila of Cox’s Bazar. He has been posted to Anwara after
successfully completing his duties there.
After taking charge, Abu Jafar Majumder said that his
priority is to provide transparent, fast and harassment-free land services to
the doorsteps of the people. He sought the cooperation of all concerned to
ensure transparency, accountability and people-friendly administration in land
management.
Local residents hope that under the leadership of the new
AC Land, the land services will be more dynamic and the quality of various
services including name registration, rent, and land-related dispute resolution
will be further improved.
