A special operation has been launched to recover lost government weapons and ammunition from various government offices and police stations. The Commander of RAB-7 announced that a monetary reward would be given to anyone providing information leading to the recovery of these weapons, while ensuring the informant's identity remains confidential.

He shared this information during a meeting with journalists at the RAB-7 Chattogram office on Monday (September 14) at 11:00 AM. He stated that if lost government weapons fell into the hands of criminals, it could pose a significant threat to public safety; therefore, the cooperation of the public and the media—alongside law enforcement agencies—is essential for their recovery.

The announced rewards are as follows: Tk 2 lakh for information regarding rifles, SMGs, LMGs, and sniper rifles; Tk 50,000 for shotguns, pistols, and gas guns; Tk 1,500 for sound grenades and tear gas shells; and Tk 50 for each round of ammunition.

The RAB-7 Commander assured that the informant's identity would be kept secret. He urged the public to promptly inform law enforcement agencies if they come across any lost government or illegal weapons in their vicinity. He also called upon the media to play a role in raising public awareness to assist in the recovery of these weapons.
