The District Detective Branch (DB) police have claimed to have solved the case regarding the public murder of Mohammad Karim in Raozan, Chattogram. Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. Police stated that on the night of September 3, a group of individuals arriving in a CNG-run auto-rickshaw killed Karim using firearms and sharp weapons in the Keranihat area of Urkirchar Union. Investigations revealed that the dispute stemmed from suspicions that Karim was involved in the theft of a motorcycle belonging to Parvez's maternal uncle, Azgar. It was further discovered that Parvez had devised a plan to lure Karim to the Keranihat area under a pretext in order to kill him. Following the arrest of Shukkur and Jabed from the Kaptai Rastar Matha area, and acting on information provided by them, police conducted a raid on an abandoned cattle farm owned by Parvez in the Mogdai area of West Gujra. Items recovered from the site included a locally made firearm (LG), an air gun, two rounds of 12-bore ammunition, a *chapati* (large cleaver), and a metal cutter. Subsequently, Selim and Alamin were arrested in the South Madarsha area of Hathazari. Police stated that operations are underway to apprehend the remaining fugitives, including Parvez, a key accused in the case.
