A day-long workshop titled “Dissemination and Dialogue: Reviewing Service Delivery with Stakeholders” was organized in Bera Municipality of Pabna to improve the quality of citizen services, ensure transparency and accountability.
The workshop was inaugurated on Monday morning at the Bera Municipality Auditorium and organized by Bera Municipality under the Digital Democracy Initiative (DDI) and conducted in collaboration with Accountability Lab, CIVICUS, DDI South Asia and Bengal Rural Economic Development (BRED).
Bera Municipality Executive Officer SM Rejaul Karim presided over the program, while Bera Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Bera Municipality Administrator Runalt Chakma was present as the chief guest.
BRED Executive Director Md. Shahidul Islam delivered the welcome address at the program. Bera Press Club Convener Shamsul Islam Chowdhury Sajeeb and Social Development Officer SKM Rashedul Islam spoke as special guests.
The workshop presented various data from the Community Feedback Platform (CFP) under the “Community Led Urban Accountability Through Digital Engagement (CLUE)” project.
The data was presented in detail by BRED Project Manager Khan Md. Muzahid Ibne Habib.
The entire workshop was moderated by BRED Municipality Project Officer A.H.A. Giffari.
In his speech as the chief guest, Runault Chakma said that such an initiative can be a great example in the field of transparency and accountability.
