Pedago Academy, a new online education platform for children, has officially launched. The launch was announced on Saturday evening at the company’s Lalmatia office, where children joined in cutting a cake to mark the occasion. The platform will work to develop the talents and skills of children aged 3 to 12, beginning with three age-based English courses, a press release said.
The event was attended by Pedago Academy Director Moniruzzaman Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Asad Zobayr, along with children, their parents, and the academy’s teachers and staff.
Speaking at the event, CEO Asad Zobayr said that although Pedago is starting with English language development courses, more courses aimed at nurturing children’s talents and skills will be introduced soon.
Noting that conventional short courses and books often fail to build real language proficiency in children, he said Pedago’s ‘English Adventure’ course has been designed around the way children naturally acquire language. Like an adventure, the course takes children through a series of milestones, with the goal of helping them achieve complete English proficiency.
He added that the course was developed by 12 teachers experienced in the Cambridge curriculum, and its effectiveness was tested through a month-long pilot with 250 children.
