Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs HumaiunKobir at his office today, a press release said.
During the meeting they discussed various bilateral and
multilateral issues including cooperation in trade, investment, energy, labor
mobility, and regional and global issues.
State Minister Humaiun sought closer cooperation and
collaboration between Australian TAFE institutions and our Technical Training
Centers (TTCs); as well as in training for Bangladeshi caregivers.
State Minister praised Australia’s continued support in
addressing the Rohingya humanitarian crisis and hope to continue working
closely with Australia towards a sustainable solution to this prolonged crisis.
Australian High Commissioner reaffirmed that Australia will continue to support Bangladesh regarding vocational training and health issues. Australia will be always with Bangladesh resolving the Rohingyarefugee’s crisis as well, the High Commissioner added. She also mentioned that Australia and Bangladesh are closely cooperating at the UN and other international forums.
