Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan has kicked off IHG Giving for Good Month 2026 with a Blood Donation Camp, bringing together colleagues in a collective effort to support patients living with thalassemia.
Organized in collaboration with the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation, the initiative, titled “Drops of Hope,” reflects Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan’s commitment to giving back to the community and creating meaningful social impact beyond the walls of the hotel.
The response from the hotel team was particularly encouraging, with nearly 50% of the hotel’s total employees coming forward to participate in the blood donation initiative. Through their collective contribution, the campaign has the potential to benefit 60–70 thalassemia patients and, by extension, their families, turning individual acts of kindness into a powerful collective contribution.
For patients living with thalassemia, regular blood transfusions are an essential part of their treatment and survival. Against this backdrop, the initiative holds particular significance, as every unit of blood donated represents more than a medical necessity - it represents hope, support and another opportunity for a patient to continue their journey.
Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Niaj Masud Rahat, Officer – Donor Relations & Partnership Development, Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration and the enthusiastic participation of the hotel’s employees.

The Blood Donation Camp marks only the beginning of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan’s IHG Giving for Good Month 2026 journey. Throughout September, the hotel will undertake a series of initiatives centered around community, education, wellbeing and sustainability, encouraging colleagues to actively participate in creating positive changes.
