realme, the youth-favorite smartphone brand, has
demonstrated the long-lasting battery performance and durability of its realme
C100 through a real-world adventure challenge with the ULAB Adventure Club.
From 27-29 September, a two-day, two-night trek, across the challenging hilly
trails of Bandarban, the smartphone continued to perform throughout the
journey, finishing the adventure with 40% battery remaining, a press release said.
Tohanur Rahman Toha and Rushdi Hasan Rafi from BBA, Anika
Tahmin from CSE, Mehdi Hasan Siam from MSJ, and Jannatul Ferdous from DEH, from
the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) Adventure Club embarked on
‘the realme C100 - ULAB Adventure Club Bandarban Challenge’. The journey began
at Ruma Bazar and continued through Boga Lake and Darjeeling Para to
Keokradong, one of Bangladesh’s best-known mountain trekking destinations.
Along the way, the students navigated challenging terrain, camped outdoors, and
captured the scenic landscapes of Bandarban.
Among the other participants carrying smartphones from
different brands, Rafi was the only participant carrying a realme C100. While
everyone was rechecking their charger and power banks, Rafi trusted on his
device’s 8,000mAh Titan Battery, and didn’t bring a charger or a power bank.
Later, the group turns it into a challenge: whoever’s phone dies first lose.
Throughout the trip he used the C100 for navigation, photography, video
recording, music, and entertainment. As the others’ batteries ran low, the C100
kept going.
The challenge also put the smartphone’s durability to the
test when it accidentally slipped down a rocky slope and landed in muddy water.
The unexpected incident initially alarmed the group, but Rafi retrieved the
device, cleaned it, and found the device was still working. The fall caused no
issues, and the phone stayed in use for the rest of the trip, demonstrating its
resilience in demanding outdoor conditions.
This is consistent with the C100’s IP69 Pro rating, which
provides 2m drop resistance and 6m water resistance, along with ArmorShell
protection and military-grade shock resistance. By the end of the trek, the
realme C100 still had 40% battery remaining despite being used for navigation,
photography, video recording, and other activities throughout the journey.
Sharing his experience, Rushdi Hasan Rafi of the ULAB
Adventure Club said, “We’ve been on adventure trips before, and keeping our
phones charged has always been a challenge. This time, we wanted to see how the
realme C100 would perform during two days of trekking, camping, and exploring
Bandarban. From navigation to capturing our memories, we used the phone
throughout the journey without carrying a power bank. It was a different kind
of battery challenge for us.”
Through this collaboration with the ULAB Adventure Club,
realme brought its smartphone endurance challenge beyond controlled testing and
into a real-world setting, demonstrating how battery life and durability can
make a difference when users are far from conventional charging facilities,
proving that this phone truly is an all-round durable champion.
