DHAKA : Banglalink the country’s leading digital operator,
has secured the top position in compliance across all Network, District and
Upazilla-level KPIs in the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission’s
(BTRC) Quality of Service (QoS) assessment for July 2026.
Banglalink ranked first in 8 out of 11 Key Performance
Indicators (KPIs) in BTRC’s monthly report on QoS of “Cellular Mobile Phone
Operators” for July 2026. The achievement reflects the operator’s continued
focus on network performance, service quality and compliance with regulatory
QoS requirements.
The report published by BTRC for all mobile network
operators, including Grameenphone, Robi and Teletalk represents a significant
development in the assessment of mobile network performance in Bangladesh. QoS
reports submitted by mobile operators for the first time are being reconciled,
reviewed and verified by BTRC, with verified performance data being assessed at
the national, district and upazila levels.
In the July 2026 QoS report, Banglalink achieved top
positions across eight BTRC service metrics, which include 2G Call Setup
Success, 4G Average UE (User Equipment) Throughput DL (downlink), 4G E-RAB
Non-Retainability, VoLTE Call Setup Success, VoLTE Drop/ Abnormal Release,
Mixed Voice Setup Success, CSFB Success, and SMS Completion. The current QoS assessment primarily reflects
mobile network performance from a network centric perspective. Previously,
mobile operators submitted QoS reports primarily at the national level, without
a systematic process for verification and reconciliation by the regulator.
Under the present framework, BTRC has introduced a more structured process for
independently reviewing and validating operator submitted QoS data. The
resulting reports provide a more comprehensive assessment of network
performance across different geographic areas.
Commenting on the achievement, Taimur Rahman, Banglalink’s
Chief Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Officer said, “This achievement
validates our intense focus on network architecture and operational
performance. We aim to maintain consistency and strive for greatness in terms
of infrastructure optimization, ensuring stable service for our consumers and
maintaining highly reliable network connectivity across Bangladesh.”
