Emirates has unveiled the world’s first electrically powered Premium Economy seat featuring a full-height adjustable privacy screen, further enhancing its award-winning Premium Economy experience. The new seat will debut on newly delivered Airbus A350 aircraft, offering passengers greater comfort, privacy and control over their personal space, a press release said.
Passengers can raise, lower and lock the electric privacy divider using the seat controls, creating a more private setting for relaxing, dining or working. The fully powered seat also allows customers to adjust their preferred position at the touch of a button, with dedicated lounge and meal modes
The new Premium Economy cabin features just 28 seats. Each 20-inch-wide seat offers up to 39 inches of seat pitch and reclines into a cradle position without intruding into the row behind.
Comfort is further enhanced by Emirates’ U-Dream headrest featuring adjustable leather wings for personalised head and neck support. A manually deployable leather footrest provides additional relaxation.
For the first time in Emirates Premium Economy, passengers will also have access to wireless charging, alongside USB-C charging and a tray table with an integrated phone holder.
Since its launch in 2022, Emirates Premium Economy has continued to expand across the airline’s growing A350 fleet.
