A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today with Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport as the Platinum Partner of the 13th Asian Tourism Fair (ATF Dhaka) 2026, one of the country’s major tourism industry events, a press release said.
Under the partnership, Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport will participate in the upcoming Asian Tourism Fair as a Platinum Partner. The partnership is expected to play an important role in promoting Bangladesh’s tourism industry internationally, while creating greater opportunities for business networking and collaboration among tourism stakeholders.
As part of this partnership, Crowne Plaza by IHG Dhaka Airport will also provide comprehensive hospitality support for the Bangladesh Tourism Night & Award, organised by Parjatan Bichitra, which will be held at the hotel. The event will be powered by Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and is expected to offer guests a premium and festive hospitality experience.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager of IHG South West Asia and Cluster General Manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka Airport. Also representing Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport were Nazrul Islam, Director of Sales and Marketing. Sujan Saha, Director of Finance, and Ms. Sarah Rahman, Director of Marketing.
Representing the Asian Tourism Fair were Mohiuddin Helal, Chairman of the Asian Tourism Fair and Editor of Parjatan Bichitra; Borhan Uddin, Fair Director; Salauddin Aton, Director (Marketing & Business Development); Mahbub Islam Bulu, President of TGAB; Mehedi Amin Chowdhury, Managing Director of Convoy Group; Tanvir Ahmed, former Vice President of TOAB; and other concerned stakeholders.

Mohiuddin Helal, Chairman of the Asian Tourism Fair and Editor of Parjatan Bichitra, said:

We hope these initiatives will generate greater interest in Bangladesh’s diverse tourism destinations and contribute to increased tourist arrivals and domestic travel.”

We hope all media organisations in the country will extend their cooperation in making the Asian Tourism Fair a successful tourism festival.”
With the approval and overall support of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, the three-day 13th Asian Tourism Fair 2026 will be held on September 17, 18 and 19, 2026, at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka. The fair will remain open to visitors every day from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
More than 300 booths will feature tourism organisations, hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel agencies, national tourism organisations, investors and other tourism-related businesses from Bangladesh and abroad.
In addition to Bangladesh, Thailand, the Philippines and the Maldives will participate as Partner Countries. Malaysia, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka, along with tourism organisations and relevant agencies from several other countries, will participate as Feature Countries and international exhibitors.
The three-day fair will feature B2B networking sessions, seminars, group discussions, cultural programmes, tourism-focused discussions and an exciting raffle draw.
The event will serve as an integrated platform for domestic and international tourism organisations, investors, entrepreneurs, professionals, students and general visitors, bringing together business networking, travel planning, entertainment and knowledge exchange under one roof.
For many years, the Asian Tourism Fair has worked to bring together key stakeholders of Bangladesh’s tourism industry, including hotels, resorts, tour operators, travel agents, airlines, national tourism organisations, investors, skills-development institutions and tourism entrepreneurs on a common platform.
Through this year’s event, the organisers expect to add a new dimension to the promotion of Bangladesh’s tourism destinations, expansion of investment opportunities and development of a stronger, more competitive and internationally oriented tourism industry.
