Huawei receives Technology Award at the 6th
bKash Partner Excellence Award ceremony. The recognition honors Huawei’s
exceptional contributions as a key technology and supply chain partner driving
Bangladesh’s rapidly evolving digital financial services for over 84 million
users nationwide, a press release said.
The annual event, organized by bKash’s Supply Chain
Management Department, brought together senior executives and celebrated 17
organizations across eight award categories — all recognized for making mobile
financial services (MFS) more accessible and seamless for millions of
Bangladeshis. Huawei stood among the honorees for its role as the foundational
technology enabler within the broader bKash ecosystem.
Senior bKash leadership was present at the ceremony to
personally commend award recipients. Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir, Chief Financial
Officer of bKash, alongside Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Management
Mohammad Rashedul Alam, praised Huawei for its dedication to high standards of
compliance, integrity, and collaborative partnership.
Mohammad Rashedul Alam, Executive Vice President, Supply
Chain Management, bKash, said,” Partners like Huawei have been instrumental in
maintaining strict compliance, high integrity, and proactive collaboration —
qualities that directly translate into a better experience for our millions of
users.”
Du Congcong, Account Director, Huawei Bangladesh, said,
“This recognition is a proud affirmation of our long-standing commitment to
Bangladesh’s digital future. Together with bKash, we will continue building the
infrastructure that empowers millions of people with access to modern financial
services.”
Over nearly a decade, Huawei and bKash have worked in
close collaboration to build, scale, and future-proof Bangladesh’s digital
financial ecosystem. As a core technology partner, Huawei has consistently
delivered advanced, secure, and reliable infrastructure to support bKash’s
rapid national expansion.
Huawei’s comprehensive hardware and software solutions
support the backbone of bKash’s day-to-day operations. The company’s
infrastructure powers the core fintech wallet solution (eWallet) — underpinning
essential daily transactions such as cash-in, cash-out, peer-to-peer (P2P)
transfers, and utility bill payments — serving over 82 million registered users
every day.
This recognition reinforces Huawei’s broader commitment to
supporting the growth of inclusive digital economies across South and Southeast
Asia, cementing its role as a trusted technology enabler in one of the world’s
most dynamic mobile financial services markets. Huawei’s digital financial
platforms are currently serving around 410 million users globally including
more than 60 markets in Asia and Africa, and contributing to the expansion of
the digital economy globally.
