Dhaka : bKash has won awards in two categories at the SDG Brand Champion Awards for its significant contribution to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In the third edition of the awards this year (2025), the country largest mobile financial service provider received Winner awards in the categories of Most Sustainable Financial Institution of the Year and SDG Brand Champion in Sustainable Partnerships and Institutions, according to a press release.
Bangladesh Innovation Conclave recently hosted the event in the capital to honour organisations contributing to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. bKash received the Most Sustainable Financial Institution of the Year award for its initiatives in integrating sustainability in overall strategies, operational methods, and fostering stakeholder relationships. Additionally, it earned the SDG Brand Champion in Sustainable Partnerships and Institutions award for its role in sustainable development through collaboration among various stakeholders, including the government, civil society, the private sector, and communities. Major General Sheikh Md Monirul Islam (retd), Chief External & Corporate Affairs Officer, and Ali Ahmmed, Chief Commercial Officer, accepted the awards on behalf of the company.
