Pubali Bank PLC has gifted a bus to facilitate the
transportation of students from Comilla Victoria Government College as part of
its ongoing commitment to social responsibility and the development of the
nation’s education and human resources. Mohammad Ali, Managing Director of
Pubali Bank PLC, attended the event as Chief Guest held at the college’s Zia
Auditorium. Presided over by the college’s Principal, Professor Md. Abul Basher
Bhuiyan, the ceremony was attended by Special Guests Professor Md. Abdul Majid
(Vice-Principal of Comilla Victoria Government College) and Md. Mainul Islam
(Deputy General Manager and Head of Comilla Region, Pubali Bank). Professor Dr.
Abdul Kuddus delivered the welcome address. Gazi Muhammad Golam Sohrab Hasan
(Secretary of the Teachers’ Council), Mohammad Mizanur Rahman (Assistant
General Manager of the bank), and other senior officials from both the college
and the bank were also present, a press relase said.
During the event, Mohammad Ali formally handed over the
bus keys to Principal Professor Md. Abul Basher Bhuiyan. Concurrently, a
tree-planting ceremony took place on the campus, and an electronic booth of the
bank was inaugurated.
Speaking as Chief Guest, Mohammad Ali stated that students
are the future of the country and that ensuring their safe and comfortable
commute is a collective responsibility. He expressed great pleasure in gifting
the bus to the students of Comilla Victoria Government College, affirming that
Pubali Bank would continue such social responsibility initiatives for the
welfare of education and students in the future.
He further added that Pubali Bank PLC would persist in its
social responsibility activities to contribute to the country’s sustainable and
inclusive development through participation in various initiatives related to
education, health, and public welfare. Speaking as the Chair of the event,
Professor Md. Abul Basher Bhuiyan, Principal of Comilla Victoria Government
College, said, “This initiative by Pubali Bank PLC to facilitate student
transportation is highly commendable. This bus will play a vital role in
ensuring safe and comfortable travel for the students. On behalf of the
college, I extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Pubali Bank
