Navy Chief Admiral Khondaker Misbah-ul-Azeem left Dhaka for Saudi Arabia on Saturday on an official visit, a press release said.
During the visit, the Navy Chief will pay courtesy calls on the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Saudi Arabia, the Chief of the Royal Saudi Naval Force and the Commander of the Multinational Maritime Defense Coalition. Various issues of bilateral interest will be discussed in the meeting. In addition, the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia and various cooperation issues between the navies will be discussed in the bilateral meetings to be held.
During his stay in Saudi Arabia, the Navy Chief will visit various military and naval installations and exchange views on professional relations, training and various issues between the navies of the two countries. It is expected that this visit of the Navy Chief will further strengthen the existing mutual cooperation and brotherly friendly relations between the two countries.
